(5/13/08) Gov. Sonny Perdue gave his approval Wednesday to legislation that will allow Sunday liquor sales at the new Gwinnett County stadium and that will allow limousine operators to sell liquor for consumption in the vehicle.

He also approved a bill allowing Georgians to purchase wine over the Internet from wineries, and gave his okay to legislation exempting permanent car washes and swimming pools from outdoor watering restrictions.

The Gwinnett County liquor sales bill is HB 1280.

The limousine alcohol sales bill is SB 385.

The Internet wine sales bill is HB 1061.

The outdoor watering measure is SB 466.

They were among a laundry list of 114 signed bills and resolutions released by the governor’s office at the end of a long day of signing ceremonies for other measures.

Also signed was HB 336, a bill increasing penalties for drivers who have multiple offenses of driving under the influence, and SB 1, which does double duty in both reinstating the ban on where sex offenders may live and also makes it illegal for convicted sex offenders to take pictures of children.
